Scunthorpe Alphas Set For Premiership Debut In 2026

With the 2025 season now officially in the books, the Scunthorpe Alphas are looking ahead to playing Premiership football next year.

Despite Sunday’s disappointing defeat to the Merseyside Nighthawks in the Division 1 Northern Championship, the Alphas will be rubbing shoulders with the elite teams in the north of England and Scotland in 2026.

As part of the Premiership North, we are expecting to take on the Manchester Titans, Coventry Phoenix, East Kilbride Pirates, Nottingham Caesars and of course, the Merseyside Nighthawks.

This year’s promotion continues the incredible rise of the club from associate status to the top flight. Our first official competitive season was not until 2022, when we earned promotion from Division 2 at the first attempt, and in Division 1 we reached the playoffs in all three seasons, securing promotion at the third attempt.

The schedule for the 2026 season will be released early next year, and preparations are already underway for what will be another historic season for Scunthorpe Alphas football.
